A couple of weeks ago I took a trip to Brighton in the hope that I might get some good street portraits and more widely street photography. I was armed with my Pentax MX loaded with a roll of lomo Potsdam (I have linked it at the end)
When I arrived I found that I had accidentally come on Trans Pride, and stumbled into a Trans Pride march. This for any street photographer is an amazing opportunity.
I stopped briefly on the way at a coffee roasters in an industrial estate pushed up close to a cliff face.

When I arrived at the march, I was determined to speak to one person and tried to over come the fear that they might say no. So I did and here’s what I got.

As well as focusing on the people in the parade I wanted to photograph the people like me who just stumbled into it

I also managed to get to the front at the beginning to see it set off.

You may have noticed streaks on some of the photos in this post? That is because when I sent them off to be developed, the lab (ag photographic) did not take as much care as I would have liked them to when submerging them in the various development chemicals. So this effect happens when the film is not lifted evenly from the chemicals or is not evenly covered with liquid. I have enquired twice about a refund but no reply. Luckily most of the images with small streaks, the damage is removable in photoshop
